India to conclude orders for 100 more K9 vajra howitzers

Indian Army K9 Vajra Self-Propelled Howitzer

The Indian Ministry of Defence will issue a Request For Proposal (RFP) for the procurement of 100 more K9 Vajra howitzers to Larsen and Toubro (L&T) in early 2023.

After that the cost negotiations will be carried out for the second lot of 100 K9 Vajra will be customized for better operations in higher altitudes for which it will come with winterization kits of nine items like specialized oil lubricants heating systems and small changes to the gun's fire and control system the third lot of 100 K9 Vajra will be ordered by 2025.
