2 Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornet fighters have landed in Goa for Ski Jump demonstration for Indian Navy Aircraft Carriers

F/A- 18 Super Hornet fighter jets have landed in Goa today for ski jump capability demonstration with the Indian Navy as part of the Multi-Role Carrier-Based Fighter contest for 26 aircraft that includes 8 twin-seat variant and 18 single-seat variant.

Boeing officials have said that the Super Hornet Block-III has been designed from ground up as a Carrier-Borne aircraft with every component designed for that role.

Boeing officials have said that the Super Hornet's foldable wings will save space on the flight deck hangers and on the lift while the wings of the French Rafale are not foldable and parts such as nose cone and wingtips must be removed to transport it from one deck to another.
