Indian Air Force looking for an Unmanned Deep Penetration Strike Platform to replace Jaguar DARIN-III aircraft in service from 2028
The Indian Air Force (IAF) is actively considering the introduction of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to fulfill its deep penetration strike missions, as confirmed by an unnamed IAF official speaking to sources. This transition is planned to coincide with the gradual retirement of the IAF’s Jaguar fleet, which is set to begin phasing out in 2028 and be fully decommissioned by 2035.
