What was noticeable in the video is the CMT i.e., Carrier Mortar Tracked Vehicle. CMT has been designed by Combat Vehicles Research & Development Establishment (CVRDE) to mount and fire an 81mm mortar from within the vehicle.

The vehicle can carry 6 personnel including crew. It has overall weight of 13 tonnes powered by 300 HP engine which gives it on road speed of 65 kmph, off road speed of 48 kmph and 7 kpmh in water.

Based on an Army’s requirement, Ordnance Factory, Medak, produced these vehicles and inducted into the Services.
