India has
issued a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) warning for the launch of an experimental
flight vehicle in the Bay of Bengal for the period between 6th to 7th June and
the designated length of the NOTAM is for 3,300 kilometers which could be a
test of a new ballistic missile.
IgMp has learnt that the DRDO has been working on the Agni-IV Prime canisterised variant which is a 4,000 (four thousand kilometers) advanced Next Generation Nuclear-Capable Ballistic Missile that will replace the existing Agni- IV Non-Canister variant.

Last year, when DRDO Chief Dr. G. Sateesh Reddy was addressing a video conference, a new missile or a launching vehicle type was revealed just behind him, and what we know by zooming the picture is that, it is named DRDO Veda which is a missile like platform to launch Military Satellites through MiRV technology. Many in the Defence circle, assuming that it can be a test launch of DRDO Veda as its trajectory and range matches that of the issued NOTAM.
DRDO may also validate the MiRV technology by test firing Veda platform as it will be able to launch multiple satellites into the orbit.
