PM Modi led CCS approves ₹6,500 crore for Tejas Mk2 : ₹15,000 crore approval for AMCA soon

The Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) headed by Prime Minister Modi has approved the development of Tejas Mk2 fighter jet and the manufacturing of prototypes and flight testing and certification at a cost of over ₹6,500 crores.
The Chief of the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) has said that the rollout of the first Tejas Mk2 will happen in first quarter of 2023 and the first flight will be conducted by early 2024 and the production will begin by second half of 2027.
Officials have said that the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) will approve another ₹15,000 crore rupees project to build the AMCA 5th Generation Stealth Fighter jet within the next few months, this was confirmed by Defence Decode on twitter.
