MDL issues EOI for the development of indigenous Conventional Submarines; preparations for Project-76 !!??

At a time when the Project-75 is nearing completion and the Project-75I is delayed Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders has started work to develop an indigenous conventional class submarine and has released an Expression of Interest (EOI) inviting eligible firms to establish a design and engineering center for design, planning, and manufacturing of submarines including the supply of design software used in both preliminary and detailed design phases.

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders has also released the second Expression of Interest (EOI) inviting eligible firms for consultancy in the implementation of industry 4.0 in submarine construction that includes project management and crew management, predictive maintenance and utilization, monitoring material tracking, smart tools, and smart lighting robotics for welding, cutting, material handling, painting, and other shipbuilding activities.
