ADA starts working on AMCA's Internal Weapons Bay; to be able to house 6 BVRAAMs
AMCA Scale Model with Internal Weapons Bay

A big news has been revealed, IgMp has learnt that the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) has started work on the internal weapons bay of 5.5th Generation AMCA stealth fighter jet.

The internal weapons bay of AMCA will be bigger in size as compared to internal weapons bay on the bottom fuselage of the American F-22 Raptor and it will be able to carry four Rudram-1 New Generation Anti-Radiation Missiles.

AMCA and its Internal Weapons Bay specifications

The Rudram-1 air-to-ground missile is 5.5 meters in length and weighs 600 kilograms, which means that the internal weapons bay of AMCA can accommodate six air-to-air missiles as they are comparatively much sleeker.

IgMp has learnt that the Hindustan Aeronautics will manufacture the first three prototypes of AMCA for testing aero structure and to find any design flaws, that will be followed with three more units for final level testing phase which will be built after final level modifications in the first three prototypes, after which two pre-production aircraft will be built and delivered to the Indian Air Force for user testing, then the procedures for induction will follow.
