Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) has commenced the production of a limited series of HELINA missile launchers and essential equipment. This first production batch, comprising over 20 launchers and 7 accompanying components, represents a notable step forward in advancing the deployment of this state-of-the-art anti-tank missile system.


The HELINA launcher assembly, to be manufactured and delivered by a specified vendor, will adhere to the outlined technical specifications and scope of work. Although the initial batch will not include the gas bottle and cooling system assembly, these are crucial to the fully operational HELINA system.


The HELINA missile, developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), is an advanced anti-tank guided missile system designed to engage and neutralize armored threats with precision. The integration of these missiles with the new launchers will equip the Indian Army with enhanced capability to address armored threats effectively on the battlefield.


This inaugural production phase of HELINA launchers is expected to pave the way for larger-scale production and broader deployment in the near future. As the Indian Army advances its modernization efforts, the HELINA missile system is set to play a key role in boosting its combat readiness and operational strength.
