Su-57 vs F-35A entry in MRFA Possible !!??

The Indian Air Force is looking for 4.5th Generation or 5th Generation fighter jets under the 114 MRFA tender that will be locally assembled in the country.

The only 5th Generation aircraft that is in production is the American F-35 but it won't be able to cut through Indian requirements due to high indigenization content requested by the Indian Air Force and Transfer of Technology clauses in the tender and it will also be a huge task to incorporate Indian systems and weapons on the F-35.

Another 5th Generation aircraft that could mark its entry is the Russian Sukhoi Su-57 and the Chief Executive Officer of Rostec Corporation had said recently that the Sukhoi Su-57 fighter jets are in a high degree of readiness and the rate of manufacturing can be boosted.

While India had pulled out of the FGFA agreement although India is still considered a leading potential client for license production.
