HAL to conduct first flight of RUAV-200 by the end of this year

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is on track with development of RUAV-200 this Rotary Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (RUAV) is all set to take its first flight by the end of this year.

The complete composite structure is now coupled and final leg of assembly is going on after completing its final assembly, the system will undergo ground tests and then it will be taken for flight testing our RUAV-200.

This UAV will have an endurance of 180 minutes and would weigh around 200 kilogram when fully loaded with fuel and payload it can carry a maximum payload of 40 kilograms over a range of 100 kilometers.

This helicopter can be armed and at the same time be used as a surveillance platform in the long run. It can be used from anywhere from land or from warships at sea.
