India and France to sign 125 KN engine deal in 2023; First Flight Test in 2030

We the IgMp were the first to report you all about the possible development of an engine for AMCA stealth fighter with French Engine Maker Safran 2 years back !! And now the reports are coming in that the Joint Development Deal for a 125-kilonewton class engine is on the verge of completion,
The Indian Air Force will procure 40 AMCA Mark I jets immediately after completion of flight certification and basic weapons trials. While the AMCA Mark II will enter production in 2035 with a new powerful engine generating 125 kilonewton of thrust, for which, talks with French Engine maker SAFRAN have progressed, and a contract will be signed in 2023.
The first flight of the new engine is planned for 2030 on a Rafale testbed aircraft of Dassault Aviation, and the engine is expected to be cleared for production in 2033.
This 125 kilonewton engine will also replace the American F-414 engines of AMCA Mark 1, Twin Engine Deck Based Fighter (TEDBF) and Tejas Mk 2 or Medium Weight Fighter (MWF).
