French Naval Group withdraws from P-75I tender, S.Korean KSS-3 only submarine left with Li-Ion tech based AIP system

of Prime Minister Modi's visit to France French firm Naval Group has confirmed
that it is no longer in the race to provide six next generation conventional
diesel attack submarines to the Indian Navy under Project-75I after it was not
able to meet certain conditions of the Indian Navy.
Earlier Japan did not responded to Request for Information (RFI) Sweden and Russia opted out given to indigenous component percentages and now France has decided to out given the requirement of fuel cell type AIP requirement.
The Naval Group has said that it will continue to collaborate with India on the refit of the six Kalvari class submarines with the DRDO developed Air Independent Propulsion (AIP) system from 2023 onwards.
Officially now just Spain and South Korea are in this competition Project-75I submarine program was started to acquire six advanced conventional submarine for Indian Navy.
South Korea's Daewoo shipbuilding is now the sole contender in the program which has offered the KSS-3 submarine that has a proven lithium-ion battery technology based AIP system.
