Avenger S50 Airborne Electro Optical System |
The DRDO has
transferred the technology of the Avenger S50 Airborne Electro Optical System
(AEOS) to private sector firm Tonbo Imaging.
Avenger S50 Airborne Electro Optical System (AEOS) is an airborne four-axis mechanically stabilized electro-optical payload for aerial and naval surveillance.
It captures
images simultaneously in the visible shot
wave infrared and medium wave infrared with detection range
of 55 kilometers.
Avenger-S50 is as an EO / IR 4 axis inertially stabilised package for surveillance from airborne, land and naval platforms
The EO / IR payload features a
·
Cooled HD MWIR thermal imager
·
SWIR
·
Low light CMOS HD color camera
·
Laser range finder
·
Laser Pointer
·
Infrared laser illuminator
·
Spotter (Day light and low light)
·
GPS
·
Compass
It is be integrated with external / internal Digital Magnetic compass and has an external interface to an NMEA compatible GPS and DGPS solutions.
The HD cooled Thermal imager with continuous optical
zoom can see long range in poor illumination and poor weather conditions.
LRF is safe under all conditions and provides accurate ranging. Optionally the
laser range finder can be combined with the GPS and an integrated compass to
accurately geolocate the targets.
It has SWIR, day and
TI imagers aligned and FOVs matched and it images simultaneously in
the visible, SWIR and IR spectrum providing imagery that give greater
situational awareness. It can be used in belly up / down position and is also
integrated with an integrated video tracker to engage with dynamically moving
targets.
It also features inbuilt JetHD embedded electronics capable of processing HD videos in real time.
Application
