The Aeronautical
Development Agency (ADA) has started working on serrated panels for sensors and
doors of Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA).
These panels are extremely important for a 5th Generation fighter aircraft these panels ensure stealth is retained at different types of openings and doors like maintenance access panel and hydraulic system ports on the aircraft and helps to reduce the Radar Cross Section (RCS).

The serrated panels will be fabricated by october 2022 after which it will start Cross Section (RCS) testing when serrated panels are attached to the trailing edge of the aircraft there is a significant improvement in the lift and drag characteristics.

The AMCA program was sanctioned in 2018, Preliminary Design phase is now complete, the aircraft is now in Critical Design Review phase.

ADA is seeking an industry partner that can convert their designs into actual components, these components will undergo electromagnetic simulations, shape optimizations and help in creation of design and drawings for actual manufacturing.
