USAF Research lab Air Force Research Laboratory – AFRL as yielded corroboration of experimental wind tunnel results and concurred with wind tunnel modeling predictions determined in India. AFRL is working with NewSpace Research & Technologies (NRT) for Air launched drone for which AFRL has an established CRADA with NewSpace Research and Technologies (NRT), an India-based aerospace start-up company, in support of air-launched small unmanned aerial systems.
The recent results came from collaborative testing between AFRL and NRT using the AFRL Vertical Wind Tunnel facility at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The CRADA with NRT supports the Defense Technology and Trade Initiative (DTTI) co-development strategy with India to facilitate technical progress for both partners.
