3 NSCN-KYA terrorists killed by Assam Rifles in Arunachal Pradesh; operation continues

In a counter-insurgency operation, three National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN-KYA) terrorists were killed around the Longding area in South Arunachal Pradesh by the troops of 6 Assam Rifles.
The forces are still continuing the operation to flush out the remaining terrorists. National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Khaplang) [NSCN(K)], all its formations and front organizations are banned under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) ACT, 1967.
Manipur ambush: Assam Rifles Colonel, his family killed
The NSCN-KYA terrorists were killed two days after the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) and Manipur Naga People’s Front (MNPF) terrorists gunned down an Assam Rifles Colonel, his family members, and four jawans in Manipur’s Churachandpur district along the Myanmar border.
The dastardly attack was condemned by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh, his West Bengal counterpart Mamata Banerjee, Director General of Assam Rifles Lt Gen PC Nair, and many other personalities.
“The cowardly attack on an Assam Rifles convoy in Churachandpur, Manipur, is extremely painful and condemnable. The nation has lost 5 brave soldiers including CO 46 AR and two family members. My condolences to the bereaved families. The perpetrators will be brought to justice soon,” Rajnath Singh said.
